There’s nothing like sitting on an ancient giant tree on a rocky shore watching Pacific waves crashing near our feet and dark clouds scuttling overhead while writing a blog. There might be a glorious sunset this evening. We might not want to wait out in the cold to see it when we have a nice warm T@B 400 parked in Mora Campground #19 in Olympic National Park in the northwest corner of Washington State. It’s a return visit for our time here in September 2008 was oh too brief. We’re planning a two night stay so we can visit Rialto in varying light conditions and possibly even on a bright sunny afternoon!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
