Aboard Amtrak

Family

We finally boarded The Crescent at 5:30AM and we’re now slowly making progress toward NYC. We’re ensconced in our little roomette, too keyed up to sleep quite yet. The Dining Car will begin breakfast service in half an hour so we’ll probably just go get some food then snuggle down into our bunks and sleep the morning away. We’ll not make our connection in Penn Station and the next Northeast Regional is sold out but we’ll worry about that small detail later. For now we’re on our way, protected from the rain outside, with the promise of food and sleep ahead of us!
