Ford’s Garage

Florida, Road Trip

Ford’s Garage is the newest establishment to occupy the location at the southwest corner of 1st Avenue and 2nd Street South in St Petersburg, Florida. When we were downtown residents this was Midtown Sundries and we were regulars here. Now it’s a craft burger place with a tempting selection of beers on tap. We met friends Lou and Peg here for lunch and found it a bit noisy for conversation though the food was tasty. It definitely would be fun to come here in the evening hungry for burgers and thirsty for beer.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
