Beach Walk Number One

Road Trip, South Carolina

Three miles before breakfast has become our routine. At the house over the winter we’ve made the walk inside the house, walking circuits around furniture and through the various downstairs rooms or back and forth along the upstairs hall sometimes even up and down the stairs. This morning we did our early morning walk north along Myrtle Beach, spying a Coast Guard vessel just offshore, and enjoying temperatures just right for our long sleeved shirts and jeans. We opted out of the opportunity to patronize the campground restaurant for a “Breakfast by the Sea” and instead headed home to our T@B 400 for our usual Spicy Savory Oatmeal and Eggs. Later today we expect the arrival of our friends from northern Indiana. In the meantime we plan to relax around camp and maybe do some poking around the area looking for unexpected opportunities. Life is good!

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
