The Ides of March

Family

Actually we’re celebrating Allen’s birthday rather than the anniversary of perhaps the most famous political assassination in history. We’re introducing him and Joyce to our favorite libation station, The Cut, in downtown Sylva before we head on to dinner at Lulu’s. Allen and Karen are enjoying the Aloe Ginger Fizz, tonight’s special, Steve’s sipping on a tequila mixed with pineapple, ginger ale, and a maraschino liquer and Joyce is enjoying a rum drink from the menu that not only reminds her of good times in Barbados but comes complete with a little umbrella. It’s a nice prelude to dinner at Lulu’s just a block west of here.
