It’s a little beach park just off of WI-13 between Washburn and Bayfield, Wisconsin. We’d passed it twice yesterday and had promised ourselves we’d stop this morning then before we’d realized it, we passed it again. We’re glad we made a turnaround and came back. We discovered a sandy beach that felt just right to the two of us who grew up on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, except for missing the salt smell. It was lovely to walk the sandy shore and we even stumbled upon a geocache! This would be a great place for a beach hike but we’re saving our legs for today’s main event.
