One more night here at this fabulous little spot, Colorado at it’s finest, a place that we call home. Who wouldn’t want that view out their front door? A few days ago when we extended our stay, Cripple Creek KOA had no reservations available for Saturday night but Terri put us on the waiting list in case of a cancellation. Yesterday morning she told us that we’d been blessed with the opportunity to move to Site 147 today! It’s been fabulous staying here for a week. We’ve enjoyed the slower pace, the wifi access and an opportunity to work on the blog, a chance to get to know Terri and Deric, and several of the workampers and fellow guests. This morning we enjoyed the KOA Saturday Morning Pancake Breakfast and met a the owners of two T@B 320s, Kate with a white 2016 and Diana with a red & white 2014. We’ve had a few chances to talk with fellow travelers and some full-timers about the joys of a traveling lifestyle and then we got an email from Lou, Karen’s sister, with a link to Kacey Musgraves’ song My House! So, what else could you ask for?

Looks like perfection! Great photo with coffee cups and incredible scenery in your own front yard!
I listened to the song and enjoyed it all over again. Fits you to a T.
    Happy trails!

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
