Five years after our first visit to Crystal Crane Hot Springs, we no longer remember how we learned about this delightful spot out in the middle of nowhere south of Burns, Oregon but we do remember the smoke from a sage brush fire obscuring the view. This time we truly can see for miles and miles. We also definitely remembered that it was a wonderfully relaxing experience and without a doubt, worth a return trip. We arrived early afternoon yesterday with plenty of time to relax in the air conditioned Common Room then in the warm pond before our appointment for a soak in one of the private hot tubs. This morning it’s deliciously cool and we’d love to linger but we’ve promised to arrive in Caldwell by four. Adventure awaits.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens
