On our previous visits to Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming, we’ve coupled it with a trip to Yellowstone and we’ve spent a lot of time driving from place to place within the park. Trying to see as much as possible we’ve focused on the Teton Park Road. This time we stayed inside the park instead of in the town of Jackson and concentrated on taking it slow and really drinking in the experience. We lingered a long time on the Mormon Row Road yesterday when we spotted a herd of bison. Today as we headed out we drove north along US-191 then east on US-26/287 at the Moran Junction pausing a couple of times to capture awesome views of mountains and then to watch a grizzly bear and her cub feeding nearby.
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
