It’s the middle of a five day interlude between Bloomington and Columbus. We’re staying at Rocky Fork State Park near Hillsboro, Ohio on Site 169. We’ve got shade, full hookups, a view of the water, few neighbors, a laundry room nearby, and no plans to go anywhere or do anything. The chairs are out, the awning is up (for the first time since June), the temperature is moderate. There’s an ice cream bar a short walk away if the days get too hot. We’ve moved the truck out from under the Pignut Hickory tree. The sunset and moonrise are beautiful and life is good.
Winter Magic in Medina
By deliberate choice we were in Medina for all the winter holiday festivities from Candlelight Walk in the days before Thanksgiving through A Christmas Carol and A Celtic Christmas as well as an Alex Bevan Concert and a historic house tour all the way through Medina’s 31st Ice Festival but perhaps the highlight was the town hosting hundreds of folks whose homes and lives were devasted by Hurricane Helene at the A Promise of Christmas Event the middle of January. It’s an honor to be a part of this amazing community!
