Neil & Dionna

Family

What a glorious weekend to watch as Neil & Dionna tie the knot! Yes, in fact, the two of them did tie a lovers knot as a part of their wedding ceremony yesterday in Worthington, Ohio. The bridal couple planned a lovely casual but elegant wedding weekend. We were invited to join with other out of town guests to enjoy a casual buffet and visit with the two of them and each other on Friday night. Saturday morning they and several others enjoyed a bit of a hike in a local park. Saturday evening they said their vows and we all partied with them. On Sunday we enjoyed a brunch and some more visiting and hanging out with family. It was a great time to to connect with loved ones and get to know more members of our every growing family.

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
