Ohio T@B and Friends

2019 West Again, Ohio, Road Trip, States

Last Sunday as we partied with Michael, Jeff, and Dawn we learned that the loosely organized Ohio T@B and Friends group would be gathering at Delaware State Park north of Columbus, Ohio for a weekend camp out. It was Jeff especially who encouraged us to join in the fun if our schedule permitted. It actually wasn’t until Thursday afternoon that we realized we indeed could make it happen and fortunately there were still two reservations available through the park website. We didn’t get to camp right in the same circle but it was but a short drive for us to come on over for campfire last night, coffee klatch this morning, and potluck dinner and campfire tonight. There is no official count of the number of participants but someone counted at least twenty-two sites occupied by owners of teardrops, former owners of teardrops, and friends of owners of teardrops. We may be the only non-Ohioans, although we’re both Ohio born, but we still feel as if we were an integral part of the community of T@B lovers gathered here this weekend. We really are a T@B family.

In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
