She’s a Grad!

Family

It’s been a busy weekend. Peyton and Riley danced their Spring Recital. Both are accomplished dancers in many styles of dance and had multiple performances in the three shows Saturday. Both performed in the glittery kick line dances. We were touched by their performance of the Shim Sham Shimmy, a dance close to our hearts. But the most poignant of all was Riley’s Senior Special. As a graduating senior, she chose to do a duet with her sister that spoke of this special moment in their close relationship as Riley finishes high school and goes on to college. It’s difficult for us and all her fellow dancers to process that this young woman who’s been dancing since she was two, will move on from this company of dancers. By August she’ll be away at college and beginning her studies in Biology. To celebrate the transition Dave & Amy hosted a most delightful Graduation Party for her. Friends and family gathered from near and far to feast on excellent eats and to celebrate an accomplished individual as she begins the the next phase of her education. Best Wishes, Riley. You’ll do great things!

Wicked The Musical

Wicked The Musical

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
