Shout Outs!

Full-Time Travels

What an incredible morning! We’d like to thank multiple people who together helped get us to this morning’s beginning. First Chris & Aaron who video blog on their full-time van life and how to incorporate fitness into their lifestyle. And cousins Kathy & Tom who clued us in to Silver Sneakers availability through Anthem. And to Marc & Tricia of Keep Your Daydream who recently talked about working out at an Anytime Fitness while on a cross country RV trip in a recent video blog. Most of all a huge shoutout to EJ and to Jennifer at the Wytheville Anytime Fitness who signed us up to work out at any AF center worldwide. So we started our day with a cardio workout before grocery shopping next door then enjoying breakfast in our T@B 400 in the parking lot. What a great way to kickstart our full-the lifestyle. Now we’re southbound on I-77 with a reservation for tonight in South Carolina enroute to Congaree National Park a place we’ve not yet visited. Stay tuned for our adventures there. Additional shoutouts to Amanda who’s departing aboard Cunard’s Queen Mary II on the first leg of an around the world adventure, to Riley & Bella along with Amy who are winging their way to the Big Apple for Broadway adventures, and to Peyton who’s expanding her brain by learning to write left-handed. To one and all we say: Enjoy Your Adventure!

Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens

London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

Caligula at Strawberry Hill

The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
