Just after we moved here three years ago we decided we wanted to name our property and to have a handcrafted sign to welcome visitors. It took us a while to settle on the right name and then another long time to find the artist to craft the sign for us. Finally we found John of Bear Necessities. Today we took delivery of a beautiful sign crafted from a red oak plank that will grace the end of our garden/entrance to our house. Thank you Cousin Kathy for the suggestion of the name “‘Tween Creeks”!
Burgh House Hampstead
Off the beaten path is Hampstead is the more than three hundred year old Burgh House with a fascinating history. It’s now a community center, local museum, gallery, concert venue, event space, and more open to the public four days a week. We popped over for a bite to eat and to peruse the galleries to learn a little more about Hampstead history.
I like the name…great to see you this past Friday. We were going to try to come Sat, but just too tired from helping my daughter move. Hope to see you again soon.
