Unusual for us to have a day in Cincinnati that is not scheduled with family visits but that's just what we experienced today. We took the opportunity to run errands and to savor Cincinnati specialties. Haircut at Great Clips, a new connector ans computer bag at The...

At Home in the Woods
Winton Woods, Site 57! We're back! It's our third stay on this particular site this year. Looking  back, we think our first stay at Winton Woods Campground was in August 1990. Hard to believe we've been coming here regularly for twenty-five years! Guess there's a...
Lys Grant’s HomeÂ
Home Tour Video We routed ourselves through Georgetown OH to visit the home of the boy who would later lead Union forces to victory and lead the American people as the 18th President. Hiram Ulysses Grant was known as Ulysses or Lys during his youth. Through a clerical...
Filling the Tank
We're headed to Winton Woods today where we have reservations for six nights at an electric only site. Since we have a water hookup here at Bayview we think it's prudent to fill the water tank this morning. Besides that it gives us the chance to use our nifty...
“Bayview”
This evening we are staying at Bayview Campground near Hillsboro OH near the shore of Rocky Fork Lake. The major event of the evening has been doing the laundry. It's been several days since we've had laundry facilities available so that was a priority when choosing...
Sherman’s BirthplaceÂ
On rambles through central Ohio today we drove through Lancaster and saw the William Tecumseh Sherman Museum, the birthplace of not only the Union Army General but his brother John Sherman, a US Senator. Â We wanted to stop and visit but were unable to find any parking...
Now, That’s a Basket!
Heading east on OH-16 we passed Frazeysberg and the Longaberger Homestead and thought briefly of stopping but deferred. Then continuing east this basket rose up on the horizon, a rather unique office building! Then we read this Roadside America essay. Do we...
Leaving Berlin
It's time to move on. We've stayed here at the Berlin RV Park between Millersburg and Berlin, not far from Sugarcreek OH for the last two nights. It's a smaller, rather new park with friendly staff, wonderfully spacious showers and reasonably priced. Wish it had a...
Lehman’s and More
Yesterday when we visited Dave we also picked up our most recent order from Amazon. Last night we installed the new Quiet Hitch ring, the tiny LED lights strand above the valance, and the the Acurite refrigerator and freezer thermometers. Then today while Gigi was at...
Gigi’s Spa Day
We dropped Gigi off this morning for a Spa Day at Pleasant Valley. Under the care of Ed, Marvin, and Austin, she's getting new drawer latches, a battery backup for her ALDE, a screens/shades reversal, a a few other tweaks. So we will spend the day in Amish country...

Over the last several years we’ve had the distinct pleasure of many cross country journeys traveling though the Lower 48 in tents and our various teardrop campers as well as an amazing Alaska adventure that did not involve a camper.

Bletchley Park
It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.
Fenton House and Spaniards Inn
A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
London Transport Museum
A visit to the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden gave us insight into the evolution and role of public transportation in the creation of London as a great metropolitan area.
