Now that we're down to more southern latitudes, we're enjoying warmer weather. We're contemplating putting away the cold weather gear for a while and de-winterizing the camper. Our plan at this point is to begin moving westward but not too quickly. For now we're doing...

Who Needs a Tour Guide?
Over breakfast today Ben started asking questions about Geocaching. Next thing we knew the three of us had embarked upon a tour of the area guided by geocaches. We explored areas that had once been frequented by pirates, that boasted incredible burgers and friendly...
Satchmo Lived Here
One of the delights of this trip is to spend some one on one time with Greg. We three slipped over to Daisy Dukes, two doors from our hotel, for a big breakfast and some quiet visiting time. After cleaning our plates we ventured out for a walk around the quarter and...
The Avenger
Six of us ventured out in search of breakfast and absolutely scored at Mother's. Afterwards Laura & Mason and the two of us headed to The National World War II Museum. For hours we immersed ourselves in history of this global conflict from many different angles....
Bucket List Item!
One of us enjoyed Bananas Foster at Brennan's back in the early 80's and the other has had the experience on the Bucket List ever since. Today we topped off our fabulous breakfast with this amazing flambé dessert, shared with everyone at the table.
Brunch at Brennan’s
We're being wrapped in Brennan's traditions. We're wearing holiday bells on salmon colored ribbons, drinking yummy cocktails while we await some incredible culinary breakfast concoctions.
The R W Norton
We found a Louisiana gem here in Shreveport. The F W Norton Art Gallery has a wonderful collection of art including but not limited to an awesome collection of Frederic Remingtons and Charles Marion Russells. Learned a lot not just about these artists but some cools...
We’ve Been Here!
We're camped in Lake Bistineau State Park south of Shreveport, Louisiana. After we arrived we realized we'd camped here before - in August 1984! We were on our way home from a family gathering in Santa Fe. We set up camp after dark and when we awoke the next morning...
Northern Louisiana
From Vicksburg to Shreveport e are traveling US-80 which parallels I-20. We plan to camp tonight at Lake Bistineau State Park and explore Germantown and the Norton Art Museum.
Alongside the Mississippi
We've been wandering the banks of the Mississippi these last couple days and because of the levee, rarely can we see the river itself but we can definitely see evidence of the industry associated with this mighty means of transportation.
Planning a trip? Dreaming of travel? Perhaps some of our adventures could inspire yours! Over the last several years we’ve had the distinct pleasure of many cross country journeys traveling though the Lower 48 in tents and our various teardrop campers as well as an amazing Alaska adventure that did not involve a camper.

LATEST
Wicked The Musical
Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens
London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
Caligula at Strawberry Hill
The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
