Yesterday and today we've had the pleasure of Emily's company as we've explored the area of Kent and Cuyahoga Falls OH. Yesterday the costume shop closed early and she joined us for a delicious lunch at Mike's Place, a delightful eatery in Kent with multiple themes...

Anything Goes
Tonight was Opening Night of the 50th Season at the Porthouse Theater in Cuyahoga Falls OH and thanks to Emily we enjoyed front row seats for Anything Goes! It's a delightful madcap story that first opened on Broadway in November 1934. It's based on a book by Guy...
Blissful Quiet
About four hours ago we successfully found Silver Spring Campground in Stowe OH, situated ourselves on a shady site and settled in. After lunch and a nap we're enjoying salubrious silence. At mid-week the campground is virtually empty so we have the pleasure of...
Are We Lost?
After great visits with our family in Canton, with our nüCamp family in Sugarcreek, and with Chris, our hostess at the KOA in East Sparta, we headed out on the next leg of our Summer Ramble. After consulting the All Stays App we set the GPS for a Stow OH city park...
Out and About
The last time we visited Sugarcreek our dear friends Elsie and Sarah invited us to their house for homemade Rhubarb Pie and Garden Tea. Tonight we invited them to join us for dinner and requested they choose a restaurant new to all of us. Malcuit's Tavern in Strasburg...
A New Awning
A swing back into Ohio wasn't part of our plan until we experienced heavy rains in New York and realized the stargazer wasn't perfectly watertight. So we made a trip to nüCamp by way of Lisbon OH. Fortunately the seal was easily set right. It also gave us the...
On a Road Again
After a three night sojourn in Geneva State Park we hit US-20 eastbound fighting with the Maps app regarding whether we should travel interstate or US highway on our way to Westfield NY. Along we way we made a couple of stops. First at Steve's Auto Wash (no relation)...
National Coffee Day 2017
Who knew it was National Coffee Day? We didn't until we refueled and shopped for a couple of essential items at a Shell station where we were offered free coffee! Now it's on our calendar as an annual event so we can plan where to get the best coffee each year. So...
Hiding in the Woods
It's one of those times we just need to be alone with our thoughts. Geneva State Park is serving us well in that regard. It's mid-week and there are few fellow campers. The sites are spacious and nicely wooded. We've done the laundry, finally sifted through the mail...
Murals New and Old
East Fork State Park outside of Cincinnati was a great home for us for four nights. Close enough to meet up with some cousins, near a restaurant we love because they serve some great goetta, but quiet and peaceful. It's been quite a while since we stayed at this park...

Over the last several years we’ve had the distinct pleasure of many cross country journeys traveling though the Lower 48 in tents and our various teardrop campers as well as an amazing Alaska adventure that did not involve a camper.

Excursion to Bath, England
Bath, England is an amazingly inviting place with deep deep history. One little day trip isn’t anywhere near enough but we did enjoy delving into the history of the Roman Baths, basking in the beauty of Bath Abbey, and topping our visit off with Tea and Bath Buns!
The Victoria & Albert Museum
Today’s excursion to The Victoria & Albert Museum established in 1857 gave us a glimpse into the Victorian world and a chance to see some glorious originals and copies up close.
Stotfold – A Family Adventure
With Karen’s sister, niece, and her family we visited Stotfold England to walk in the footsteps of ancestors and to explore a lovingly restored historic water mill.
