This afternoon's adventures brought us to a Bragg Farm, an eight generation family Vermont maple farm and sugarhouse. Although it's not maple syrup season, we were still invited to tour the sugar house and to see a video that vastly expanded our knowledge of maple...

Waterbury Exclusive
Ben & Jerry's in Waterbury, Vermont! It's a place to which we keep coming back. This time we actually got to not only do the factory tour but we were able to see the ice cream production floor in operation for the first time. We topped off the experience with Ben...
Colchester Causeway
Our pursuit of Vermont and Ethan Allen history was interrupted by a delightful lunch on the patio of Bayview Bar and Grill overlooking Mallett's Bay in Colchester followed by a wander along the waterfront just enjoying the sunshine and scenery before making our way to...
Ethan Allen in Northern Vermont
Ethen Allen Podcast Ethan Allen looms tall in the annals of America history as the leader of The Green Mountain Boys who captured Fort Ticonderoga from the British in 1775. Today we visited The Ethan Allen Homestead Museum near Burlington VT. This modest farmhouse was...
Black & Whites
Tonight was one of the reasons why we carry our black and white dance shoes in our T@B. Jane introduced us to the Tuesday night Swing Dance at The Champlain Club in Burlington. We loved the vibe. Michael played a nice selection of eminently danceable tunes. A...
Smugglers Notch & Jericho
With Jane we continued our northern Vermont explorations on twisting roads up to the famed Smuggler's Notch that we first learned about on Smithsonian's Aerial America. We loved doing a bit climbing around on the rocks and imagining smugglers in days of old hiding...
The Trapps in Vermont

Shelburne Farms
To kick off our first full day in Vermont, Jane met us at our campsite for a tour of our T@B-400 then we climbed into her car for the drive to Shelburne Farms, a local institution since late in the Nineteenth Century. We were intrigued with the Vanderbilt connection...
A Vermont Welcome
We crossed the border from NY and drove north with the Adirondacks and Lake Champlain on our left and the Green Mountains on our right. One of our first adventures in Vermont was to take the T@B-400 over/through a covered bridge thanks to a Maps app offer to route us...
Brattleboro
Our route today is taking us across southern Vermont. We paused to unsuccessfully search for a geocache but loved exploring the covered bridge in Brattleboro. Just outside of town we did indeed discover a cache near the Chelsea Royal Diner and took the opportunity to...

Wicked The Musical
Ever since its debut on Broadway the two of us have wanted to see “Wicked the Musical”. Today we realized that dream. In the Apollo Victoria Theater in London’s West End we were witness to the incredible prequel to The Wizard of Oz, the story of the Glinda the Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens
London’s National Portrait Gallery’s temporary exhibition, “Six Lives: The Stories of Henry VIII’s Queens” presents an amazing collection of portraits, jewelry, personal effects, books, costumes, and more to illustrate not only the lives of the six women who married the second Tudor king, but the effort across five centuries to keep their memory alive.
Caligula at Strawberry Hill
The purpose of our trek to Strawberry Hill House in Twickenham in the southwest of London was to see a recently recovered bronze bust of the Emperor Caligula but we discovered so much more in the recently restored 18th Century “little Gothic castle” built by Horace Walpole.
