See Park Video Yesterday we traveled only 242 miles but in a northerly direction and with a gain in altitude that took us back to early Spring. The deciduous trees are bare, this morning the temperature is in the thirties, and we see robins! We're on Site A32, a...
Highway 221
We headed south this morning but not along the parkway this time. We got off on US-221, hoping to get ice and coffee at Grandfather Country Store but we were too early for that so we continued south along this road alongside the BRP. We were treated to the sight...
Among the Rhododendron
Moving north along the Blue Ridge Parkway, we left Linville Falls this morning and made it just a few miles to the Julian Price campground. Â Here we're finding ample shade and little sun for the solar panels so we've made the switch to a cooler for the food. We went...
Chimney View
We were up and about this morning before most folks and in the cool of the day we headed to the Linville Falls Visitors Center. This time we headed for Chimney View and a look at both the Upper and the Lower Falls. We opted so save Erwin's View for the next...

National Portrait Gallery
It was a most educational visit to the newly renovated National Portrait Gallery at Trafalgar Square in Central London. We were intrigued with the contemporary approach to presenting British History.
Bletchley Park
It was at Bletchley Park that the Allied Codebreakers deciphered German military messages during the Second World War. A free guided tour gave us a good overview of the campus and the activities that occurred here from 1938 to 1945.
Fenton House and Spaniards Inn
A lovely way to spend a Sunday in Hampstead. We visited the historic Fenton House to view lots of lovely collectibles, to listen to and learn about harpsicords, and to tour and linger in the garden before heading off to the historic Spaniard’s Inn for a most delectable Sunday Roast.
